Someone cut Bear's ears. He still trusts people.

Someone cut Bear's ears. He still trusts people.

Bear was about eight weeks old when someone cut his ears. It wasn't done by a vet. A verified rescue partner picked him up and got him to a clinic the same day.

He should be afraid of hands by now. He isn't. Bear pushes his head into your palm and stays there, and he'll do it with anyone who sits down on the floor near him. His ears won't grow back — that part is permanent. What we can still change is everything that comes after it.

What it takes to get a puppy like Bear through this:

  • Wound care, surgical cleanup & pain management $900
  • Exams, antibiotics, vaccines, neuter & microchip $500
  • 60 days of foster care & recovery $700
  • Per puppy $2,100

Your gift goes to verified rescue partners — funding cases like Bear's across our network.
